Liang-Dortmund red emergency flare

The Liang-Dortmund red emergency flare is a signal flare produced by the Liang-Dortmund Corporation. It lasts for fifteen minutes.[1][2] The flare is known to be used in human settlements on Kamchatka[3] and Alluvion.[4] During the Battle for Zeta Halo, it was also used by UNSC Marine Corps to flag attention.[5]
