Nomination rules

  • Make sure it meets the requirements.
  • Copy/Use the following format:
== [[Article Name]] ==
'''Reason''': place your reason here.

'''Date of nomination''': place the date here
=== Votes ===
  • Neutral votes are unneeded; a simple yes or no would suffice.
  • Remember to use the Support and Oppose templates.
  • Each nomination will be open for one week. If it is approved, then there will be a one week waiting period before another article can be nominated. If the votes are split with no consensus by the end of the week, then the nomination will remain open for a second week before a final decision.
  • Three votes, two by administrators, are the minimum amount of support required to approve the article. If the votes for support beat the votes to oppose by seven votes, the article will be immediately approved without having to wait the rest of the week.
  • After nominating an article, place the featured article nomination template on the article's page.
  • If an article is not approved for featuring, it must wait one month before it can be nominated again.

Meridian (Approved)

Reason: Actually kind of happy with how this article turned out. An informative article on Meridian's history, geography, government, economy, and culture with some behind the scenes trivia. The article is properly referenced and comprehensive. Lots of quotes and images (special thanks to Chronarch) too.

San'Shyuum (Approved)

Reason: Well-sourced (a loooot of sources), as many decent quotes as I could find, comprehensive, and lots of nice pics. I've been working on this article for a while and Pokemon Go didn't help me at all, but I finally sat down today to finish it and I think it turned out pretty good. The quote I used for the "Reproduction and life cycle" section is pretty creepy though.

  • However, should we add the image of Tem'Bhetek to the post-war section? Also, the image of the reformists is technically from the San'Shyuum meeting the Sangheili on Ulgethon, isn't it? Not the time of the schism. -Japeth555
    • For Tem, I was thinking about it, but I'd rather wait until we get a higher quality one from Mythos. To be honest, that's one of the reasons why I haven't bothered nominating his article to be featured either, as I prefer them to have the best pics possible. As for the Reformists, you're right, but I just threw it in there to give readers an idea as to what the Reformists looked like. They are still Reformists after all. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 18:49, 13 July 2016 (EDT)

Installation 07 (Approved)

Reason: Very comprehensive and detailed, thoroughly sourced, and now even featuring a few more images to make it look nicer.

I disagree. The notion that the SoS and the UNSC were jointly controlling it and watching for the Flood still seems like it could have been a mistake where installation 05 was meant instead. Also, there is not note about how it is curious that Lasky didn't bring 07 up in Halo 4 when he mentioned Halo rings under UNSC control, such as 05 and 03. I think there are still too many problems here. Japeth555 (talk) 13:14, 13 October 2016 (EDT)Japeth555

You're right in that those bits are questionable, especially Catalog's statement. We could always choose to politely ignore it, maybe relegate it in the "Production notes" section, or just slap a note on it. As for the second one, technically Halo 4 is two years after Hunters in the Dark. Something could've happened that led to Lasky not including 07. --Jugus (talk) 00:22, 14 October 2016 (EDT)

Forgot about this. Is it good to nominate? --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 15:33, 3 November 2016 (EDT)

Go for it.--Spartacus TalkContribs 17:11, 3 November 2016 (EDT)

000 Tragic Solitude (Approved)

Reason: A comprehensive article on a character that has largely only appeared on text, though with two relevant images. Contains a lot of appropriate sources and quotes.

Great job. I wonder of we should include an image perhaps of text from one of Halo 3's terminals, since there is such a lack of images. —This unsigned comment was made by Japeth555 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Is that meant to be a vote of support Japeth?--Spartacus TalkContribs 16:35, 20 November 2016 (EST)
Eh, I don't think it is necessary. In my opinion, an article doesn't actually need images to be considered "featured", but as long as it is well-written. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 20:40, 20 November 2016 (EST)
Definitely. There's a lot of subjects that have only appeared in non-visual media that still have well-written articles, so the lack of images alone shouldn't hold back a feature. --Jugus (talk) 00:15, 23 November 2016 (EST)

SPARTAN-II program (Denied)

Reason: A detailed and well-written article about the protagonist super-soldiers of Halo

  • Oppose.svg Oppose -- Not a bad article at all, however it lacks many references in the body and the infobox, and most major sections lack quotes, of which there are many to choose from. The intro could also do with a large expansion, going into more detail about he program itself and covering its role in the Covenant War. The article also has a section on the Spartan-IIs in Halo Wars, but makes no mention of Halo Wars 2. Also, in my opinion, the "Publicity" sub-section should be moved to the bottom of the "Personnel" section as it's more about what the public has been told about the program, while the other sections are more directly about the Spartans. -- Topal the Pilot Blueteam.png (Talk|Contribs) 22:03, 24 March 2017 (EDT)

Tem'Bhetek

Reason: I have been mostly waiting until we got a decent picture of him from Mythos. A comprehensive article with lots of quotes and sources on one of the few cool San'Shyuum characters.

Just one thing.. Should it really be called Tem'Bhetek's faction? BoruaNeem was the real mastermind behind everything. —This unsigned comment was made by Japeth555 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

True. Calling it Tem's faction never felt right to me. --Jugus (talk) 08:55, 7 May 2017 (EDT)
I'm still not sure if it should even have its own page to be honest. But yeah, the name isn't really the best for it. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 11:28, 7 May 2017 (EDT)

I suggest changing it to the "Minister-Prelate Alliance" or something like thatJapeth555 (talk) 11:30, 7 May 2017 (EDT)Japaeth555

Project CHRYSANTHEMUM

Reason: I'm pretty happy with how this article turned out. It's sourced with all of the relevant material I could think of and it's pretty organized.

  • Support.svg Support - Per nomination. It might need a separate section for the Spartan III's in MJOLNIR, but as it stands, I think it's pretty good.-Kal825B (talk) 22:06, 7 May 2017 (EDT)
