The Halo Demo was a demo version of the original Halo: Combat Evolved for Xbox, which was distributed by the Official Xbox Magazine on demo discs. The demo contains only one level: The Silent Cartographer. After completing this level, the ending cutscene will play as normal, and then the player will be greeted by Sergeant Johnson, who congratulates them for completing the demo and encourages them to buy the full game.[citation needed]
