Are you looking for Joyride Studios, a company that produced action figures for Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2?

Joyride is a short promotional piece for the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn webseries. It depicts two CAMS cadets enjoying an unauthorized ride in General Black's Warthog. It was released on September 14, 2012 on Halo Waypoint[1] and on YouTube by MachinimaPrime.[2]

Transcript

Point-of-view of an unknown cadet's camera. He is standing with another cadet in a clearing in the forest before an M12 FAV. His camera's heads-up display reads "Offline". The other cadet checks the tow-cables.

  • Unidentified Cadet: "Well, as far as Force Application Vehicles go, the Warthog's the best of the best. Pour in a little water and you've got enough hydrogen fuel to go a hundred and twenty-five kilometers an hour on open road."

Cut to the Warthog pulling up to the cadet. The other cadet is seated in the driver's seat.

  • Unidentified Cadet: "I'm not supposed to do this, but, uh, get in."

The cadet proceeds to get in. He buckles himself in.

  • Unidentified Cadet: "This isn't your standard M12, though. This 'Hog's had some modifications."

The other cadet pushes the ignition. There is a beep, and the engine starts. He then pulls the stick into drive.

  • Unidentified Cadet: "It's faster."

The Warthog lurches forward. It proceeds to drive through a dirt road within the forest. The cadet looks at the lit-up control panel, the barrel of the M41 Light Anti-Aircraft Gun, and the woods. He feels the passing air with his hand. He looks to the driver, who proceeds to perform a series of maneuvers.

  • Unidentified Cadet: "Yehaw! Whooooo!"

The Warthog again goes straight, now loudly accelerating.

The Warthog now slows to a stop next to Lt. General Black, who glares at the driver. The driver gulps apprehensively as Black steps forward. Cuts to black.

Trivia

The cadet shown driving the Warthog in the short is actually stunt driver Jonathan Kralt,[3] who also drove General Black's Warthog in Forward Unto Dawn proper. Interestingly, in Joyride, his uniform's name tag appears to read "Tritter", while in the actual series, his tag bears the name "Smith" instead.[4]
