Why is it that on Halopedia I am unable to add logos and flags to the different sides and belligerents/groups of a conflict to add illustration and make the infobox presentable better. For example, i cannot add the logo/flag for the Unified Earth Government or UNSC in the 'Human-Covenant war' infobox because a copyright message replaces it instead! Yet on normal Wikipedia, you are perfectly allowed to placed flags and logos for different belligerents and armed militant groups involved in wars, for example, the logos/flags for all of the militant groups in the Syrian civil war. Can someone tell me why this is pls?--Paulhalo121 (talk) 05:31, 20 April 2016 (EDT)

It should be something like these: (images removed). But we should have a debate on whether we need them in the first place. Many factions don't have a banner so the template may look irregular at times. Imrane-117 (talk) 08:09, 20 April 2016 (EDT)
The fact that many factions don't have flags, banners or symbols is the biggest obstacle. What do you put for the Free Peoples of Meridian? Or Venezia, which has no visual depictions? These are separate entities to the UEG and UNSC. Or for a group like Vata 'Gajat's mercenary group? Just putting a generic Covenant symbol might be misleading for a reader, who sees it and assumes they were still part of 'Mdama's Covenant. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 08:26, 20 April 2016 (EDT)
Not to mention it takes up space in the infobox that we should be preserving. Personally, I think it is fine without the flags. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 10:08, 20 April 2016 (EDT)
I understand that, but like Imrane-117 said and shown, the UNSC, UEG, covenant etc do have logos and they should be placed whenever there is one available. Surely they should be placed in infoboxes for major wars and battles, e.g. human-covenant war, battle of installation 04, 05 etc. Also, how does it take up space on the infobox when its just a small icon, it makes the infobox more presentable. Its always done on wikipedia conflict pages/infoboxes, so why not on here? Im just suggesting btw lol--Paulhalo121 (talk) 04:52, 21 April 2016 (EDT)
I'm with the others. Not all factions have known emblems so having only some of their symbols show up in the infoboxes would be inconsistent at the least and confusing at the worst. And in any case they'd just be window dressing as they don't actually add information to the template. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 13:45, 21 April 2016 (EDT)
Yeah that's true to be honest, fair enough/points, i guess it would be unnecessary.--Paulhalo121 (talk) 06:07, 22 April 2016 (EDT)
