Many of you likely visit HBO or other Halo venues that may show this update, but just in case, I thought I'd put it here that my silhouette scale charts on HBO have had an expansive overhaul going from the last update at 27 pages to 47 pages in this latest version. This new set of charts includes many items that had been missing from Halo Reach as well as objects from Halo 4 which were previously unavailable.

Stephen Loftus' Silhouette Scale Charts

I invite discussion here if there's anything that I missed and should have added or if you find any errors in the charts. I'll see that they get updated if that happens. I noticed one already but it may be corrected by the time you see this note. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 21:38, 29 June 2014 (EDT)

Wow, that's awesome! I have not found any errors yet. I find it interesting that the Darter dropship variant in Halo 4 and Initiation is nearly three times the size of the Halo Wars variant. - NightHammer (talk) 22:54, 29 June 2014 (EDT)
It never really sank in just how massive Mantle's Approach was. It's almost as big as High Charity itself! You can see the numbers, but without a visual representation, it's hard to grasp! You also seem to be missing Reach on this one and the CPV-class heavy destroyer on this one. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 06:29, 30 June 2014 (EDT)
That's pretty much what I was going to say about Mantle's Approach. Even with this I don't think I had truly appreciated the ship's size until now. The only error I noticed is the stealth pylon being tagged [H3] instead of [R]. That being said this is easily the best version of the scale comparison charts to date. Keep up the great work! --Our vengeance is at hand. Gravemind.svg (Talk to me.) 15:23, 30 June 2014 (EDT)
The chart really helps put things into perspective, something raw data alone doesn't quite accomplish. Despite knowing its size, I never realized how huge the Cryptum actually was. It's nearly the height of a beam tower or the Library gondola! Or that the Mombasa Tether is so much bigger than the Threshold gas mine. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 01:06, 1 July 2014 (EDT)
Thanks for the comments folks! I'll see about getting that Halo 3 tag error corrected. That's a simple copy/paste error as most text starts as one text box and I copy it around the page changing what's needed. After weeks of looking at the text cross-eyed, I'm surprised it has so few errors.
I didn't intend to include Reach or Arcadia or Harvest as I already had a planetary scale chart done on HBO. There's ample room so I suppose I could, but the main structures I wanted on that page was the Ark and Halo. Requiem and the other shield world are just new additions. Earth was in the previous update because it's a good comparison with the Ark and Halo.
The ship is not a Darter, it just has a similar 4-engine design like one. The Darter and Pelican are far closer in design to one another. There doesn't seem to exist a decent side view of the Halo Wars Covenant destroyer or I'd have included it. I don't have the model of anything from Halo Wars. We didn't even have a side view to go from during the first Visual Guide. If you know of one, I'll fit it in. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 15:07, 2 July 2014 (EDT)

I like the updated stellar/planetary scale page - puts the achievements of the Forerunners into perspective. I couldn't find this air/space craft anywhere, though, either the Reach or Halo 4 versions. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 01:35, 5 July 2014 (EDT)

http://halo.bungie.org/misc/sloftus_scalecomparison/1280h.html?display=civ_b there it is. I think I should start a search for halo wars stuff.Erickyboo (talk) 02:14, 5 July 2014 (EDT)
Welp, don't I feel like a twit. :P -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 03:11, 5 July 2014 (EDT)

Thanks for the updated chart.--Killamin7 [Comm|Files] 07:52, 5 July 2014 (EDT)

Glad you found it. It's a civilian transport so you have to browse the civilian objects to find it. The same transport model was used in both Reach and Halo 4 so I included it only the once. I can tell you that for Halo Wars, I have only included silhouettes for the Spirit of Fire (since I could draw it from a good quality side view and knew the overall length), but the only other objects in the charts are limited to the objects included in the first Visual Guide, as those are all the Halo Wars objects I helped work out the dimensions to. The major omission in that is the Covenant destroyer, as we don't have a side-view to use as reference, but I dearly wanted to include it. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 07:56, 5 July 2014 (EDT)
