I have a Twitter account. So does Tuckerscreator. I know a few of you guys do too. And, in order to commemorate (celebrate may not be quite the right word) our protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act and Protect IP Act, Tucker and I have created a new hashtag in an homage/parody of #factswithoutwikipedia, #factswithouthalopedia. Essentially, it is what people would do if SOPA passed and Halopedia was shut down as a copyright violation, and that we would depend on misremembered facts. This is something we'd like to get going while the site is actually protesting, so if there's anybody here who has a Twitter account, or is thinking about creating one, we'd love you guys to join in! Anything that attracts attention to anti-SOPA action can only a good thing, right?

A number of select tweets:

  • "Offensive Bias was Mendicant Bias's girlfriend & turned on him after Didact told her MB had been seeing the Gravemind."
  • "Female Elites are Brutes."
  • "Drones are universally considered to be the best and most fun Halo enemy units. Elites are reviled as overpowered."
  • "Emile-A239 was Asian."
  • "The Prophet of Truth and Gravemind were the greatest boss battles of all time."
  • "Sergeant Johnson was both the first and last casualty of the Human-Covenant War."
  • "Dual Wielding was originally going to be Duel Welding, where two players hack at each other with arc welders."
  • "Jackals are washed out Spartan-II candidates, mutated, withered, and taking their revenge on the player."

Again, if anyone wants to get in on it, just head over to Twitter and tweet with the hashtag #factswithouthalopedia!

A bit of me wonders if misremembered facts could get posted in the "Did You Know" section during our wiki's protest. Subs? Anyone else have a opinion on that? Tuckerscreator(stalk) 02:29, 19 January 2012 (EST)

Well, I added a bunch of random crap, most of it obscure references to other things. --Dragonclaws(talk) 04:41, 19 January 2012 (EST)

God that was exceptionally annoying to see on my feed last night. :) Grizzlei

Success! Oh, sorry. But if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Tuckerscreator(stalk) 15:49, 19 January 2012 (EST)
