For those of you who aren't aware, the new xbox will be revealed in the next 30 minutes (1pm est time). I'm a little confused about the code name(s). Is it Infinity? Is it 720? What's the deal with that. Also I've been hearing rumors that its going to be an on-all-the-time system meaning it can't operate without broadband (internet) service. I would hate that oh so much since I already don't like the fact that SpOps operates the same exact way. Whatever the case would you buy it if it functioned like that?--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:29, 21 May 2013 (EDT)

So Steven Spielberg is directing a Halo TV Series...--Spartacus TalkContribs 13:52, 21 May 2013 (EDT)

So far, nothing spectacular about the Xbox One. The novelty wears off pretty quickly I would expect. Bonnie Ross has a good figure (dayum!). — Destiny sign.pngDESTINY 14:03, 21 May 2013 (EDT)

I scratched out what I said earlier since its only a rumor and is hard to tell based on the presentation. @Spartacus: I guess it was gonna come sooner or later. Based on the Halo Movie article, Spielberg was interested in the project. Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn was the beginning. Now where/when the story will take place and who it will be centered around is another question. @Hacame: I disagree with you. I actually like the new features of it. Being able to switch between tv/movie/game seems pretty cool and useful. Voice commands are a plus as well. Also being able to surf the net while watching tv at the same time means I don't have to grab for my laptop while watching tv. Also the graphics look great. So it may not seem spectacular to you, but to me, I'm very impressed. Now I don't care much about that fantasty crap but everything else, I give a thumbs up. So yes, I will be looking out for Xbox One. As far as purchasing it as soon as it comes out, that I don't know.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 14:19, 21 May 2013 (EDT)

For me, features such as motion wear off quite fast. You'll end up surrendering to the remote. At the same time, due to my unfortunate location of limited internet connectivity, I wouldn't be able to enjoy the online features as much as those in America (then again, it is aimed for the American public than global). As always, I'll wait out for Xbox One-point-Five (or Xbox Two or Xbox One Slim/S)... because we all know there'll be issues with the launch product (and it will be smaller!). ;) — Hacame 14:24, 21 May 2013 (EDT)
Limited net? Where you located? Still I'd give the console a chance and see how it goes. Like I said, I wasn't going to rush out and grab it - like you, I'll wait a bit (maybe a month or so, price drops, etc..).--Killamint [Comm|Files] 14:33, 21 May 2013 (EDT)

Did we deal with the original nextbox article yet? Land sakes alive, we are cooking with petrol now! This is craZboy557, signing off. 15:10, 21 May 2013 (EDT)

Really? They couldn't find a more charismatic name? One? Don't know about the hardware, but the functionality doesn't really impress me. I don't like Kinect, and I really only use my Xbox to play games. I don't need an entire media platform. And honestly, no backwards compatability? Really? Really??? And the constant internet connection requirement is going to be an issue with me as well. Even visually, if just looks like the 360 but without the inwards bend. Not really impressed, to be honest. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 00:53, 22 May 2013 (EDT)

I have to admit - Xbox "One" is a lil lame for a name after 360. I honestly thought it really was gonna be named Xbox 720. That actually would've been cool to continue that trend rather than reversing it to 1. 1 makes me think of the first xbox. As far as the features, I do like them but it is all about the gaming for me as I do nothing but that on the system (with the occasional dvd thrown into the mix). I am definitely not liking lack of backwards compatability but I think that has something to do with the hardware. I guess its a matter of sales for MS before they make changes to the Xbox 1. Like Hacame said above, maybe its best to wait till they come out with Xbox One Slim/S (that entire name actually sounds better than just "one").--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:20, 22 May 2013 (EDT)

I think I'll switch to PS4 this gen. So much inconvenient baggage for the one. It'll be cool to get that extra content for Destiny. Land sakes alive, we are cooking with petrol now! This is craZboy557, signing off. 10:32, 22 May 2013 (EDT)
