Centuries before 2560, the Covenant exterminated a sapient species located on Karava.[1]
Background[edit]
The Covenant demanded the submission of a hostile unidentified species. This species would refuse.[1]
Battle[edit]
The Covenant sent 300 N'weo-pattern Gigas, eliminating the species entirely.[1]
Aftermath[edit]
This action would make the N'weo-pattern Gigas come to prominence.[1]
Following this extermination, the Sangheili and other Covenant client species settled the world, placing Karava firmly in Covenant control. It would remain so even after the Human-Covenant War ended.[2][3]
