Halo Wars[edit]

Overview of Anders' abilities in Halo Wars.
Abilities
  • Hero Unit Ability: Repair — Anders has the active ability of allowing her to repair any vehicle or structure. Additionally she is armed with an M6C magnum to protect herself. (Campaign only)
  • Leader Power: Cryo Bomb — freezes enemies in place, temporarily neutralizing ground units and causing frozen aircraft to crash, destroying them. The only upgrade that Anders' power doesn't affect is upgrading a Reactor. Costs 600 resources and a tech level of 1.
  • Unique Unit: Gremlin — uses an EMP to momentarily immobilize enemy vehicles and turrets.
Upgrades
  • Super Upgrade: Hawk — an aircraft upgrade to the Hornet. Increases its speed and firepower. Costs 1,350 resources and a tech level of 4.
  • Economy Bonus: Upgrade cost reduced by 50%, research duration reduced by 50%
  • Cryo Upgrades: Medium Cryo Bomb (525 resources and a tech level of 2), Large Cryo Bomb (750 resources and a tech level of 3), Super Cryo Bomb (1,025 resources and a tech level of 4)
Strategic tips
  • Anders is an ideal pick for rushing strategies, as she is able to get upgrades for Warthogs fast and cheap.
  • Swift armies of Hawks are great for hit and run strategies against enemy bases.

Campaign[edit]

  • Anders only appears as a Hero Unit in mission Hold the Line. However, she does not have a health bar shown during the mission.
  • In the mission Last Stand, Anders health point was replaced with the energy shield on the control room, but she is not listed as Hero Unit.

Strategy[edit]

General[edit]

  • R&D serves as the best form of upgrades. Stacking it with Logistics upgrade, your units can be prepared faster than other leaders.
  • Sentinel Beacon leader power is very useful at harassing enemy units, as it can provide a good distraction for the enemy and allows the player to strike them when they were distracted.
  • Retriever Sentinel is a useful Super Unit, but try not to deploy it in the middle of the enemy, especially if they got heavy anti-air defenses. If the player can summons a Retriever Sentinel with energy shielding, utilize it to tank enemy units, thereby easing the Nightingale's workload.
  • Anders role can be utilized as a Support if used correctly. Her specialty is air units due to Leader Power related to the Sentinels.

Allies[edit]

  • Sentinel Beacon is useful to draw the anti-air aggro towards the Sentinels created through Leader Power. If the player relies on Kodiak, it can serve as additional firepower, and also additional defenses.
    • Additionally, Siege Turret stationary defenses also benefits since it can spawn Sentinels upon impact.
  • Sentinel Network can serve with a double purpose. The first is to harass the enemy, and the second is to serve as a reconnaissance.
  • Ark Defenses can serve as an opening for the Firefight. Use it wisely.

Enemies[edit]

  • Sentinel Network is dangerous if it is not handled appropriately. Its debuff effect once destroyed can hinder your mobility.
  • Ark Defenses is extremely annoying, and if stacked with Sentinel Beacon fired from Kodiak or Siege Turret will make your unit have a hard time dealing with other air units.
  • Bring plenty of Anti-Air units due to Anders' unique traits and specialty, which mainly relies on air power.
