CAA Casbah was a colony ship of the Unified Earth Government's Colonial Administration Authority. The ship colonized the planet of Tribute in the Epsilon Eridani system on August 8, 2364, establishing the initial navigation and communication satellite constellation on the planet. Though the UEG officially recognizes Casbah as the founder of Tribute, personnel of CAA Irbid claim that they had landed and begun colonization earlier, on July 24, 2364. Tribute's capital city, Casbah City, was named after CAA Casbah.[1]
Trivia
The ship is named after the casbah, a type of fortress or citadel and by metonymy the old part of a city, particularly in North Africa.
