Doc wiped his forehead with the back of a sleeve. It came away with Al-Thani's blood on it.[1]

Al-Thani was an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper stationed on the UNSC Pillar of Autumn during the Battle of Reach and the Battle of Installation 04 during the space battle. They were a member of First Lieutenant Melissa McKay's B Company. They were killed in action when the Covenant intercepted and boarded the ship.[1]

Biography[edit]

Escape from Reach[edit]

In August of 2552, Al-Thani was among the people onboard of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn when it fled from the Fall of Reach.[1]

Battle over Installation 04[edit]

On September 19, after the Pillar of Autumn left slipspace, the Covenant intercepted and boarded the ship, starting the Battle over Installation 04. The ship's ODST contingent were assigned to defend the ship's experimental powerplant from the invaders, Al-Thani alongside Suzuki, and Dawkins were killed during the skirmishes on the ship,[1] being the only members of B Company to die onboard the ship during the battle;[2] with the platoon's medic Valdez witnessing Al-Thani's death. When Valdez was looking over McKay's injuries, he tried to use humor to get her mind off Al-Thani and the others deaths, with McKay complimenting him, and Valdez responded by cleaning his forehead of Al-Thani's blood and accepting it.[1]
