Halo 3[edit]

Team Snipers was introduced as a Double EXP Weekend playlist prior to it becoming a permanent playlist. In November 2008, it became part of the Hardcore playlist. In exchange, the two game variants, Team Snipers and Shotty Snipers, were removed from every ranked and social playlist except Team Doubles.

It was moved to its current location in the Ranked playlists on August 4, 2009, when the Hardcore playlist was retired. In May 2009, Bungie removed all grenades on the Team Snipers variant due to complaints of grenade spamming kills, Shotty Snipers was not affected.

Teams are composed of 3-4 players, with a max party size of four. All DLC is required to enter the playlist.[1] Normal weapons except for grenades are cleared off the map, with some Beam Rifles placed around the map. If the map supports vehicles, only Mongooses will appear.
