It recently occurred to me that the names "Halo PC" and "Halo 2 Vista" aren't names that were ever officially given to the two games, they're just terms created by the fanbase to describe them. In all official media (that I can find, at least), they're simply known as Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 respectively (save for the Macintosh port of CE, which is known as Halo: Combat Evolved for Macintosh and which I have recently created a separate page for).

Therefore, I propose we change the titles of these articles to either:

Halo: Combat Evolved for PC (/for Windows)
Halo 2 for PC (/for Windows Vista)

in line with the Mac port's name, or alternatively to:

Halo: Combat Evolved (PC port)
Halo 2 (PC port)

Personally I think the names now are probably better from an accessibility standpoint (everyone knows them as Halo PC/ H2 Vista), but yeah the suggested titles would probably be more accurate. From my perspective, as long as the current page names are kept as redirects then I think the proposal sounds good. As for the two you suggest, I personally prefer the brackets method for when it comes to distinguishing two pieces of media with identical names.

I think the the second set with PC port in brackets. To me it seems to be more of a specifier and less of an official title, which is what we should aim for. Kind of like how we apply "(level)" to certain pages.

Oh "Halo 2 Vista" is an official name. Bungie used it almost exclusively in their Bnet updates.

The Bungie.net page you linked to on the Discord (here, for anyone who hasn't seen it) seems to refer to H2V as "Halo 2 Vista" and "Halo 2 for Windows Vista" in equal measure. Since the box are doesn't say "Halo 2 Vista" anywhere on it, I would therefore favour "Halo 2 for Windows Vista" in this case, as it seems to be the full, official name. However, I would certainly be in favour of the opening line being "Halo 2 for Windows Vista, often shortened to Halo 2 Vista or H2V, ..." and keeping Halo 2 Vista as a redirect.

The title "Halo 2 Vista" should remain. For one, the game was ported for the sake of promoting Windows Vista and it is called Halo 2 Vista pretty much everywhere. Maybe change it to Halo 2 Vista (PC port) for the sake of uniformity instead.

If you look at the box art, the title of the game is Halo 2. So I would do "Halo 2 (Windows Vista)" for the page title. "Halo 2 Vista" is a shorthand that was used by Bungie and others to refer to the Windows Vista version of Halo 2.
