Scorch mine

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

UNSC forces caught in multiple scorch mines on Installation 00.

The scorch mine is a type of plasma landmine employed by the Banished. Scorch mines are deployed from orbit to the ground. When deployed, the scorch mine is cloaked, and detonates when enemies are detected nearby.[1] Upon detonation, the mine releases boiling plasma in the surrounding area; given its name, the boiling plasma filling likely share properties with the scorch plasma mortar on certain Eklon'Dal Workshop Wraiths.

Gameplay[edit]

  • Info: Place mines that damage ground units with burning plasma. Triggered by ground units.
  • Cost: Blitz Energy 40

In Halo Wars 2, Scorch Mines is a Blitz card exclusive to Atriox. When activated, four mines are deployed to an area in a triangular formation, with the four mine in the center. The mines are cloaked shortly after being deployed. The mines detonate when enemy ground units enter its proximity. The explosion damages nearby enemy units, then creates a pool of boiling plasma in the area (lasting approximately three seconds); enemy ground units in the pool continue take damage over time.
