From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Wrong Date?[edit]

The "December 17, 2553" can't be right. The year is wrong (it's supposed to be 2552), and perhaps the day is wrong, as we've been led to believe the Battle of Installation 00 and the subsequent Raid on High Charity in question happened on the same day, December 11. Unsure of how to reconcile this if its an error from 343. TellThat2TheCovenant 18:56, 05 January 2018 (PST)

Looks like just an error. John was 100% not into 2553 at that point.--CIA391 (talk) 22:17, 5 January 2018 (EST)
I'm sick and tired of 343i mistaking the events of Halo 3 to be in 2553 rather than 2552. This is like the THIRD freaking time they did this. What's going on with them?!Editorguy (talk) 06:51, 6 January 2018 (EST)
I wrote about this one to 343i on Halopedia's behalf and got a response:

Thanks, Jeremy, I'll pass that confirmation along to Halopedia.

That is, Dec 11, 2552. Not sure how that date got so far off.
