Background[edit]

This is the code for my "background". It's currently green, so you may want to change that. You can just copy that into your user page (without the "<nowiki>"s). I usually use this page to find any colours I need, but there must be others. To pick the colour, simply copy the "Hex code" from the table. But, as I said, I'm not particularly experienced with this, so maybe a more experienced editor can give you a better tutorial... Anyways, here you go:

{| width="100%" style="background:#006400; "
| valign="top" width="100%" style="background: #90EE90; border: 1px solid #008000; padding: .5em 1em; -moz-border-radius: 2em; text-align: "|

Carrot orange it is!:

This?

{| width="100%" style="background:#000000; "
| valign="top" width="100%" style="background: #FFA500; border: 1px solid #000000; padding: .5em 1em; -moz-border-radius: 2em; text-align: "|

Or this?

{| width="100%" style="background:#000000; "
| valign="top" width="100%" style="background: #FF8C00; border: 1px solid #000000; padding: .5em 1em; -moz-border-radius: 2em; text-align: "|

Encyclopedia Standards[edit]

Alot of yours edits seem to be written as if you are talking to someone or from 3rd person. Try to re-write your edits according to our standards. For instance, several of your previous edits read like this:

  • I'd recomend only using it if you're new to the FPS genre. It's not as effective as the DMR, pistol, or Needle rifle, but it is easier to hit people with it, due to it's automatic nature. Once your aim has improved I'd recomend trading up to one of the 3 weapons mentioned earlier.
  • ...If you're confused as to the significance of this,...
  • (In case you were wondering, he was about 15.)

You're using "I'd" (in other words "I") which comes off as opinionated and from 3rd person. So again, its almost as if you're talking to someone which doesn't follow this wiki's standards. The only time you should be using "I" in an article is for a quote from a character/person. For the 2nd & 3rd examples, your using "you" which, again, sounds conversational and just doesn't belong in articles or make sense to the reader. The text itself shouldn't belong, like "If you're confused..." & "In case you were wondering...". This is text that belongs in forums or talk pages, not articles, unless it's a quote from a character/person. So for the first example, it probably should've read more like this:

  • The MA37 is not as effective as the DMR, Magnum, or Needler rifle at medium to long range, but is easier to use against opponents at close range.

But either way it would've been a redundant tactic considering the first bulletpoint was similar. Anyway try to take everything I said into context and preview your edits.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 17:50, 24 January 2013 (EST)

Additionally, talk pages are meant to discuss improvements to an article, not for complaints/criticisms/superfluous conversations. That is what our forums are for.--Spartacus TalkContribs 21:33, 24 January 2013 (EST)
For the outside observer or if you guys read this before you get my messages, noted. I'll keep myself from using "I" in articles, and talk pages aren't forums. This is craZboy557, signing off. 09:13, 25 January 2013 (EST)
