Oru 'Certullai was born in the 'Certull keep on Yermo, Sanghelios, in the Iruiru region. Being the offspring of a Aristocrat in the Certull bloodline, he was trained to become an Aristocrat at a young age, preparing him for his future occupation as a Special Operations Sangheili, and later, Field Maaster. Oru qickly rose through the ranks in the Covenant, taking thousands of lives with his blade, which was permitted to him due to a high-respected swordsman who had taught him how to fight. At the rank of Ultra, he was selected by a Special Operations Commander to become a Spec-Ops Sangheili, and he accepted, realizing that this was a chance to prove himself alongside other legends in the Covenant. Oru quickly took the offer, and during 2508 to 2532, he lead covert operations with nearly a 95% rate of victory. After his countless accomplishments in the Special Operations devision, Oru was granted a Ceudar-pattern heavy corvette and the rank of Field Master and title of Shipmaster, stationed in the Fleet of Particular Justice. During the Great Schism, Oru left the Covenant, merging his ships with the Fleet of Retribution, helped lead various teams of Separatist forces against the Covenant, and fought alongside humanity with the Blades of Sanghelios.

- " When the Covenant was formed, we were the ones who held our swords to attain more Forerunner technology, to expand our reign along with the San'Shyuum. The Covenant later expanded to gather more species for our Great Journey, such as the Unggoy and Lekgolo. One race, however, was to be our replacement in the Covenant: the Jiralhanae. The brutish, powerful creatures you refer to as Brutes. They where incorporated into our Covenant, and later on, we met You. The Reclaimers. For some reason, even as we slaughtered your kind, the Prophets never thought of incorporating you into out Covenant. They proclaimed you're existence as heresy, and that this would be no war: it would be genocide. Humanity was viewed as vermin, below us, an insignificant enemy. However, when full-on war started, we realized you where an actual, credible enemy of very high force. Powerful, if primitive comparing to our technology. You showed courage, honor, righteousness, and everything that a worthy enemy shows. You where a viable threat, killing many of our allies, while we did the same.The war changed when the Flood appeared. The Parasite engulfed everything into it's gaping maw, ready to swallow the universe, as it did to the Forerunners. They are the reasons there are no Forerunners here today: Halo eradicated the flood and it's food. They where stopped. That was, until they re-emerged, and sought to engulf all of us into it's collective mind. The war grew weary. After nearly 25 years of fighting, however, everything very swiftly ended, mainly through the direct actions of the Demon and our leader. They proved that the San'shyuum are not invincible, and there are never too many enemies. Ever since I was proven in the thought that Humanity would be a worthy ally, as they where a worthy foe, I vowed to help them through the universes trials. There are no Sangheili, or humans, or Unggoy here today. There are only Warriors"
