[edit] About Me
Hai guyz. I'm a Belgian Halo fan, and I love playing Halo games, especially the campaign. I've driven my love for Halo 3's campaign mode so far, that I'm now ranked #3 on the global 'Enemies Killed' leaderboards. Go me; :D
[edit] The Tru7th about Truth
Just so everybody knows... I was the one who kept saying Terence Stamp voiced the Prophet of Truth in Halo 3. Some people ridiculed me, saying the actor was someone far mor famous *cough* Christopher Lee *cough*, yet I clung onto my beliefs.
GUESS WHAT? I WAS RIGHT! :D
[edit] The Tru7th about the X-Button
The X-button is the 'Infinite Win' button, changing the shape of gunfights as we know it. People will rush towards each other, and will press X from the moment their reticule turns red. The first person to use the 'Infinite Win' button scores 150, the last person gets blown 250 feet into the air, where they must fight a swarm of old, purple & winged hippo's before they are allowed to descend once more. And yes, flying hippo's can be hijacked, and used to attack, as they are impervious to the 'Infinite Win'-attack because of their silly looks. They are, however, very susceptible to players wielding the new 'Energy Fork' weapon, a weapon which can only be obtained through 'Infinite Win'ning somebody with an energy sword equipped, and a gravity hammer as secondary weapon. These two super weapons then merge to form the 'Energy Fork', a weapon which can extend into the heavens and tickle the purple hippo's until they succumb to a heart attack.
[edit] History Circling Back Upon the Elites
As we all know, before the Prophets and the Elites formed the Covenant, they were killing each other all over the place. Then, one day, whilst hapily strolling around on his home planet, one of the Prophets discovered something. We don't know what it was, we only know that it was of Forerunner origin. Anyways, after investigation of said artifact, the Prophets came to the conclusion that these 'treasures' were left by the Forerunners, who had followed their 'Great Journey' and ascended into godhood. They shared this information with the Elites, who (probably influenced by their leaders) ceased fighting. This ultimately led to the formation of the Covenant, and humanity's worst enemy.
Now, for the good part. As we all know, the Elites and humans were locked in a bloody war for a long time. Then, one day, when the fighting got a bit tóó intense, some weird cosmic coincidence caused the humans (and the Elites, to a certain level) to discover Installation 04, a Halo ring of Forerunner origin. Anyways, after 'investigation' of said ring, humanity realised all was not well. This was then proved by the release of the Flood. Master Chief did the only thing he could: He blew up the Halo, but only to arrive at ánother Halo a couple of months later, again, seemingly purely by accident. For some reason, the Flood had already been released on Installation 05, but were confined to the Sentinel Wall. Humanity learned that the Forerunners killed themselves in order to kill the Flood, and shared this information with the Elites, who then (influenced by the Arbiter) ceased fighting. Thus, humanity recieved a great ally to fight by their side. This ultimately might lead to the formation of a new union, this time consisting out of humans and Elites.
Anybody notice a pattern?
Conflict, Discovery, Reconciliation.
Death and dismay, Forerunner artifact, undeniable truth, alliance.
Just something worth thinking about, as Halo 3 draws ever near. :)
