Post Mortem is a Halo 3 Achievement that was unlocked by earning two Death from the Grave medals in a single match on the level Orbital from the Mythic Map Pack in either a ranked or social playlist.

It is worth a total of 25 Gamerscore and is represented by a Death From the Grave medal: a white 8-pointed star with an angry face.

Following the shutdown of Xbox 360 Halo online services on January 13, 2022, this achievement is no longer attainable.[1][2]

Tips[edit]

  • This wasn't an easy medal to achieve for players who didn't use their grenades often. The simplest way to earn the achievement was by using plasma grenades to stick enemies then allowing the enemy to kill the player before the grenade exploded, thus earning the medal.
  • Another option was to throw all of your grenades at your enemy, when your shields go down. It was a more random, yet still effective tactic in close quarter situations. However, it relies on quick reflexes, and quite a bit of luck.

Trivia[edit]

  • Post Mortem is a Latin term which means "after death."
